Dear Stryders,

Since the birth of Stryd, we have been working with you; the athletes, coaches, and exercise physiologists, to develop new ways of running with power in the field, in the lab, and at major marathons.
We began with the Stryd Pioneer in 2015 and you discovered that Stryd was a superior method for pacing races.
Next, we launched the Stryd foot pod in 2016 and you discovered that Stryd can monitor training load and fatigue and that Stryd could be used to exceed the accuracy of GPS sampling for pace and distance.
None of these findings would have been possible without you. Your involvement in the Stryd community, from sharing your data to collaborating on new training methods, has accelerated the rate of new discovery.
Today, we announce the new Stryd. We want you to embark on a new journey with us.

What does the new Stryd do?

The new Stryd is the first tool built for runners to measure the wind. Stryd reports the extra power (in watts) required to overcome air resistance. Now, you will know how much power you need to run into a headwind, the power saved when running with a tailwind, or the power saved when drafting off a pack of runners. Stryd gives runners the ability to turn the wind into a measurable and performance enhancing force.
